MAG Audio at UNIT.Hall: A Large-Scale Sound System for Kyiv's New Event Venue
The new UNIT.Hall, located within Kyiv's UNIT.City innovation park, opened in early summer and has already hosted a series of major events. The modern multifunctional venue covers 2,000 m² and accommodates up to 1,600 guests, offering a flexible setting for concerts, conferences, product launches, and large corporate events. Among the first projects staged at the venue were technology forums, the Ukrainian premiere of the new BMW iX3 presented as an immersive show, the Forbes Entrepreneurs Forum, and the high-profile Our Prom 2026 (NASH VYPUSKNYI 2026) concert.
The concert organized by Nashe Radio provided the occasion for this article. The event brought together dozens of leading Ukrainian artists on one stage, including MONATIK, KAZKA, ZLATA OGNEVICH, DRUHA RIKA, TAYANNA, MELOVIN, LAMA, OLENA TOPOLYA, ALEKSEEV, KHAYAT, TONYA MATVIENKO, and many others. The full-scale live production became one of the first serious musical tests for the new venue.
At the heart of UNIT.Hall's sound system is a solution built around MAG Audio WASP, with PROFI serving as the project's technical contractor. The configuration was developed to address the venue's substantial dimensions, the wide variety of event formats, and the need for even, energetic, and controlled sound throughout all key audience areas.
The main front system comprises 24 WASP-8 modules, with 12 flown on each side of the stage, while another 6 modules form the center cluster. Coverage is extended by two additional groups of 16 × WASP-8 each: one serving as side outfill (or surround) arrays, the other covering the rear section of the hall.
The audience area closest to the stage is handled by 6 STING-8 point-source loudspeakers operating as front fills. A further 8 STING-8 systems are installed beneath the ceiling, extending coverage deeper into the venue and, when required, creating an overhead sound effect similar to that used in immersive formats such as Dolby Atmos. This architecture allows the system to cover the venue's width and depth with confidence, maintaining a coherent sonic image far beyond the central area in front of the stage.
The low-frequency foundation comes from between 6 and 12 S218 subwoofers, depending on the format of the event. These deliver the scale, depth, and physical impact required for concert programs and major productions.
Amplification is based on Powersoft X8 and X4L platforms, ensuring the necessary headroom and precise control for the multi-element system. The current configuration is not yet final: UNIT.Hall's audio infrastructure will continue to evolve in line with operational experience and the venue's future requirements.

From the outset, UNIT.Hall has demonstrated its readiness to host high-profile presentations, headline concerts, and some of the country's most prominent events. The MAG Audio installation is a key part of that capability, giving the venue a scalable sound platform that can adapt to virtually any format and perform reliably under the demands of the most challenging productions. The first reactions from industry professionals and audiences have been unanimous: choosing MAG Audio was the right decision.
