Signature Sound, Bespoke Design: MAG Audio Enhances Meduza Sopot
Sopot, with its serene Baltic charm and rich artistic heritage, has long been home to cultural landmarks. Among them was the legendary Meduza club café, opened in the 1960s near Beach No. 13 — a cherished meeting place for artists, musicians, and the creative community. Though the venue evolved and changed names over the decades, its cult status endured.
In Summer 2025, Meduza was reborn as a sophisticated restaurant after a major renovation. The new owners preserved the spirit of the original icon while reimagining it for modern Sopot — now a refined seaside destination for gastronomy and culture. The redesigned 350 m² space blends premium cuisine with elegant interiors: natural wood and marble, lush greenery, black metal accents, panoramic park-and-sea views, and subtle 1920s-inspired details recalling Sopot’s golden age. Dedicated zones for work, meetings, and private events complete the setting.
To complement this prestige, the venue was equipped with MAG Audio AIR-series installation loudspeakers, delivering refined sound for daytime dining and vibrant energy for evening gatherings. Weather-resistant models were chosen to ensure reliable performance in the coastal climate, resisting humidity, salt, and temperature shifts without compromising audio fidelity.
A standout feature of the project is the set of custom-branded metal grilles crafted by MAG Audio exclusively for Meduza. Bearing the restaurant’s logo, they integrate seamlessly into the design while reinforcing the exclusivity and premium character of the installation.
Equipment delivery was managed by OPO GROUP, MAG Audio’s Polish distributor, while SPACEONE designed and installed the system, tailoring the AIR-series configuration to the venue’s architecture and usage needs.
The result is a soundscape that offers even, comfortable coverage across every zone while preserving Meduza’s distinctive style and atmosphere. Once again, MAG Audio demonstrates how its systems help define the sonic identity of today’s most remarkable dining spaces.
