Giant Water Sports Complex in Hungary Sounds with MAG AIR

Another big sports facility has expanded MAG Audio’s portfolio. This time, MAG loudspeakers were deployed at the water complex Tiszavirág Sports Swimming Pool. The opening took place in the spring of 2021 in the city of Szeged, Hungary. This project was implemented by the integrator AV Max; they chose MAG Audio to deliver sound at the venue.

The complex covers an area of 13,500 sq. meters on four floors. The largest pool of the complex is FINA-compliant and designed specifically for international competitions, including the Olympic Games.

The MAG AIR series is perfect for fixed installation projects where the unique combination of high performance and sophisticated exterior design is especially valued.

The grandstands can accommodate up to 1200 spectators. It took 28 pieces of MAG AIR-122 IP systems to provide the entire space with sound. The 8 pieces are covering the zone above the pool, and the remaining 20 pieces provide sound at the grandstands. The coaxial design of MAG AIR series ensures complete phasing of the source, which means a completely different level of reproduction accuracy and speech intelligibility.

With the wide range of mounting options, one can choose an accessory according to the parameters and complexity of the venue. Here at the pool, the systems are mounted with the help of MAG LAIR-122 brackets to the ceiling, thanks to which one can adjust the desired angle and the direction of sound.

The IP54 protection level is worth a special noting. The IP version of the speakers can be installed at the venues with high humidity and possible water splashes. In addition to the loudspeakers, the mounting accessories are also water-protected and have special anti-corrosion coating.
